CyberDesk and Erik Sterck Enter into Distribution Partnership

19.09.2025

We are pleased to announce that CyberDesk is entering into a distribution partnership with Erik Sterck GmbH, one of Germany's leading IT system houses. As part of this collaboration, Erik Sterck GmbH will add CyberDesk's identity-centric data security platform to its portfolio. This will enable customers to benefit from AI-supported access management that creates transparency, reduces risks from over-provisioned access rights, and supports companies in meeting regulatory requirements such as DORA and NIS2.

For Erik Sterck GmbH, the partnership is another step toward establishing its own AI unit with the aim of consolidating solutions based on artificial intelligence. “We always strive to present our customers with innovative and practical solutions that offer real added value. We are absolutely convinced of CyberDesk and are delighted to include the provider in our portfolio in the future,” says Erik Sterck, CEO of Erik Sterck GmbH.

Dr. Tobias Lieberum, co-founder and managing director of CyberDesk, explains: “Most companies today face an enormous challenge in managing access rights. On average, less than 5% of all permissions are actually used. This creates serious security gaps that are difficult to close with conventional means. Together with Erik Sterck, we are bringing a new level of transparency and security to companies.”

With the addition of CyberDesk to Erik Sterck's portfolio, customers will benefit from:

  • Adaptive authorization management: Unused access rights are reduced and security gaps are closed at an early stage.
  • Transparency and auditability: Every access is traceable – who accessed what data and when.
  • Scalability and flexibility: Seamless integration into existing IT environments – for human and non-human identities.

By combining automation, AI, and adaptive controls, CyberDesk and Erik Sterck help companies minimize unused access rights, prevent costly security incidents, and relieve overburdened security teams. For Europe, this means a step toward greater data sovereignty, stronger compliance, and a more resilient digital economy.

CyberDesk: The bridge between identities and data

CyberDesk is the European platform for identity-centric data security. Today, more than 95% of data access rights are not used. To minimize this vulnerability, CyberDesk helps adaptively control who can access which sensitive data and how. For human and non-human identities, the authorization software visualizes, controls, and automates granular permissions where existing solutions are blind.

Leading international organizations choose CyberDesk to prepare their hybrid multi-cloud environments for the AI era and minimize liability risks from regulations such as DORA and NIS2. CyberDesk is based in Munich. www.cyberdesk.app
